Main Stream Press Prohibited from Acteal
On the twelth anniversary of the massacre in Acteal, a small village in the Mexican state of Chiapas, a memorial was held on December 22, 2009 to commemorate the murders, which still have not been punished. Included was a forum "On Conscience and Hope" to struggle for justice for the murdered peasants and to hope for a better future for the community. The community posted signs which prohibit the mexican mainstream press from coming to the ceremonies. This poster says that Televisa, TV Azteca and Chiapas Channel 10 cannot pass because they did not publish the truth about the murders.
